Data breaches was the hot-topic of discussion for the start of our 2019 event season.
Our first guest speaker of the morning was Chris Pinder, Business Development Manager for the IASME Consortium, one of the original Accreditation Bodies contracted by Government to deliver their flagship Cyber Essentials. You can view Chris’ presentation at: IASME CSIPC Presentation Jan 19
Chris was followed by event support sponsors, NTE Ltd – a Managed Service specialising in high-speed and secure connectivity, communications and cloud technology. Client Services Manager, Steve Hood, presented on ‘The Human Firewall’ and illustrated the importance of awareness of phishing scams amongst your teams, to ensure they are not caught out and inadvertently cause their own data breach. You can view Steve’s presentation at: NTE CSIPC Presentation Jan 19
The Cluster is looking for new members and supporters to help it grow and spread the word amongst businesses across the region. The importance of protecting your business and yourself from cybercrime has never been greater.
Meetings are free of charge to attend and membership comes with a whole host of benefits included.
We look forward to seeing you at our next event, which will be held on Tuesday 26th March 2019. Further details will be published on our cluster events page shortly.
